Allergy Season (Don't ya just love fall)

For those of you that take the regular Zyrtec, you can get the generic kind at Costco for so much cheaper. It was around $20- $30 I think for 300 pills. It doesn't work that great for me though, and does make me sleepy for the first couple weeks. Singulair does work amazing, but I can hardly ever afford it. I am just getting over a sinus infection from my allergies. Doc gave me the generic Flonase that is pretty cheap, and it's been working pretty well.

OTC Affrin works ok too, but not as well as a rx. Singulair is by far the best allergy med I've used. And it works fast. First time I tried it, I was living with a cat and was miserable. A couple hours after taking it I was clear and headache free. Just wish they had a generic, it's about $110/ month without insurance, and about $50 with insurance. Still too much, I'd rather spend that money on sleds.

I have terrible allergies as well. I have found that Zyrtec or OTC Clariton did nothing for me. My Doctor prescribed me Clarinex and nasonex. It seems to help curb my allergies, but I am not at a 100%. The Clarinex helps, but it costs me $50 a month for my prescription, and there is no generic for this drug. I am considering going the shot route and seeing what that does.
