Albany/Snowies

Hey just wanted to see if anyone has been up in the Albany/Snowies through the holidays. Im trying to to get a current report on how it looks out there. Fresh snow or is it all track? My group is looking at arriving on the 2nd and staying until the 5th or 6th. Called Albany lodge they say it's good but i wanted to see if anyone has been up there kicking around in the trees? Thanks

I am hopefully making it up tomorrow for the first time this year. The reports from the conditions thread sound really good. There has been snow almost every day for the last week and a base is starting to set up.

well just made the reservation so i guess we are making the trip. if you could let me know how it looks up there that would be awesome. then i could rest easy. it's a lil bit of a hard call when we are looking at driving 850+ miles. i am looking forward to hearing from you!

Sounds like the back side is the place to be. My sled is heading out Fri. I will be there 16th of Jan.

The sun broke out on Saturday and so did all of the sleds. I had a newby with me, but did go up the meadows on backside and out north. Came back past Rock Creek and over the glacier. Alot of tracks, so you're going to have to hunt a little harder for fresh.
