Great place in my opinion and experience. If hill climbing is your thing then you have to ride up the trail quite a ways to the top of the mountain. Decent boon docking is usually around 8-10 miles up the trail, sometimes closer depending on the timing of the last storm.

Been reading a lot of negative reviews about the lodging and service. Really only care about a good sled and a decent place to bunk down. I realize that some people wont be happy regardless. Figured I would come here for advice as trip advisor and some other places may not be as accurate.
I have never heard anything bad about them Have a buddy that rented a sled from them and had nothing but good things to say.
Get a hold of Crossfireman over in the Iowa section, he knows the owner and stays there all the time. I know him very well and he is a good guy and will shoot you straight on a review of the place.

We stop by there year round for food and have never had a bad experience - always a good meal and service.
Friends have rented sleds and have never had an issue - they are very flexible and have helped us out on last minute rentals.
The hotel rooms are all very new and I haven't heard any complaints from anyone I ride with that has stayed there. (the last time I spent the night there was ~20 years ago in the old building and old ownership - so I personally can't comment on the new rooms, my parents have a cabin up there so we stay there now)
Good place to stay a ways off from the good riding IMO but not bad. You will have to burn some trail quick in the morning and evening but thats all.
Only bad thing I have heard was a guy got highway robbed over some repairs on a rental sled a few years back. So much so he bought the sled from them rather than pay the stupid high $ and they still held him to a un-realistic $ for a high mileage rental sled. Just be sure and take out the insurance or be sure and not wreck it!
