Alaska State Fair ATV Mud Drags

Sounds cool but isn't a "snowmachine" actually the thing that makes snow on a ski slope?

Go for it Tim! I used to run my sleds down here alll the time back when we had mud bogs and racedd trucks. The sloeds will blow the doors off most trucks other than AKSNOWRIDER and his buddies with the floaters running insane Hp and little fiberglass shells with paddle tires. Your sled might even give them a run. The hook up is insane and your sled will want to tear your arms off. Even yours LOL. They really don't get that messy as you just run right over the top of everything. Don't back out til your out of the pit so the skis don't slash and it will look clean other than the rails! The crowds would love to see you out there. Anybody else game???

Oh trust me I am going to be careful right now!! I just got my walking boot off yesterday and was given permission to wear a tennis shoe and WALK ON IT!!! I am so excited. I go back to work finally on monday after being off work since the 1st week of June. I must admit that I am headed out the door right now though to go see if I can find a moose in the morning since it is opening day. And.....I had to take the race bikes out of the trailer to load the wheeler and...... well the garage was too far away to just push them..... I was careful though and never got out of 3rd gear on the way to the garage via the ditch trail! Felt good to ride again. No worries, I am not riding them any more this year. I can't afford to screw this up again.

I would love to run the mud pit at the fair. It is alot of fun and really doesn't hurt the sleds at all. A little hyfax wear. Big deal. I am not going to do it though and risk my leg. Just not worth it. It would be good to see others out there though. It makes for a great show. They will steal all the thunder from the quads for sure. Even stockers, but it would be great to see some of the mods out there putting on a show. The crowd will love it.

I'll run my sled if somebody will wash it for me afterwards . :D

Tim, We had guys run their sleds in the mud before...takes mega HP to do it right..but tim is right...it is a blast and your sled will stay clean...my mud truck ran 2100 hp...weighed 3500 pds running goodyear slicks with 3 in. paddles on them..we ran 100 ft passes in less then 2 seconds from a standing start...as tim said dont let off the gas till you roll out the end on hard ground..if you chop or feather the throttle in the mud it will cartwheel the sled( I flipped one of my trucks on a poorly made track...no shutoff area and the mud went 50 ft past the end of the pit..kept the gas on till I knew I couldnt stop in the room I had left and over she went...)here is a pic of my last racer...
