Alaska Snowmobile Salvage

I like to give credit where credits due!

Last week the guys at AK Snowmobile Salvage on Old Seward returned my money on a used track I bought from them, with no questions asked.

Kind of a long read, but FWIW....
I had purchased the track 3 weeks earlier and briefly looked over what I could see while it was all rolled up. The employee helping me said it came off a sled with really low miles and it was in great shape, since I was in a hurry I did not look further. I made the purchase and left WITHOUT a receipt. 3 weeks later when I returned home from the Slope I started to install the track and I noticed a deep groove all the way around the inside circumference of the track, almost cutting it in two pieces. It was basically junk and I figured I was stuck with it, but I decided to go talk to those guys about it anyway. I took it in and talked civil to the guys there and they apologized for the trouble and returned ALL my money. They did not ask for a reciept, try to blame me for the damage or tell me tough luck.
Anyway I was impressed enough with their customer service that I wanted to share. I will make sure they get some money from me in the future!:D

They have always treated me fairly; including a time that I purchased a trailing arm that did not have a hole in it for the zirc fitting to grease it. I was back home installing it before I noticed the problem. Since I am in Seward and accustomed to "makin do" I just drilled and tapped it for the fitting. Well the tube that the spindle goes thu was not intact and when I applied grease it squirted back behind the bracing on the arm. They took that thing back a couple of weeks after I bought it without any problem. Great business, only wished they opened earlier in the season

+1...Scott and AJ are good guys to deal with, had a similar situation and they took care of me really well, and Brad over there is great to deal with too. Good friends of mine for a while now, good guys
