I've got a 2015 YZ450F, with the forward intake, so different set-up for sure but maybe different problems too..
I made a cold air intake with large rad hose and exhaust adapters from the automotive store.. This is based on a $200 model from CR Racing..I ran the hose (with a bend) up from the throttle body and out the top of the filter cover..I had to remove the air filter, cage and throttle body adapter (boot) and drilled a hole in the cover..I used a foam pod (like for ATV or Turbos..) without the foam and covered it with a waterproof cover (snow proof)...Problems aren't there yet but I'm questioning the air temp sensor position (stock) with the plumbing bypassing it..
