air vents clogging with snow

I have a 08 m1000 the air intakes on the hood get clogged with snow and the motor cuts out..any Ideas what I can do to fix this issue..I have had the update done they said it would help but it didn't..

if your in snow deep enough to plug your intake just reach up and brush them off once and while, but more than likely your exhaust is also blocked (cure, tunnel dump)
