Air shocks

Picked up the 11 M8 yesterday and it has air shocks on it. Need some opinions on keeping them or go to the coil over gas shocks. I have a set that I can put on. Where do I get the ring for the oil tank? Thanks.

I personally don't mind the air shocks. The 2011s had slightly better valving than other years. At a minimum pull the air sleeves off of them, clean, and re-lubricate with "float fluid." This will help keep them from having the initial sticking feeling. At this point a full rebuild wouldn't hurt either.

not a bad idea to put them off and have them serviced. Its surprisingly cheap some shock guys only charge like 35$ to clean, inspect, and refill them with oil.

If you decide you dont want to run the air shocks I have some zero pros off an m that are professionally painted white. I would be willing to trade you plus cash on my end.

Got a '10 M8 & had the Fox air shocks re-valved to '11 specs; a noticeable improvement. This summer I added HyGear dual pressure reservoirs front & rear track shocks (like Evols, but larger cylinders) Haven't gotten to ride it this year yet, but it should be a even better ride! HyGear are really great suspension specialists.

This is awesome as I've been considering adding reservoirs onto my Floats. I may go this route rather than the EVOL route as those are quite spendy along with the installation. Can you snap a picture of your sled with the Resi's on there? Thanks.

I am in Missouri to spend Thanksgiving with family at the present time. I should be back home the 1st of dec. Would these come with the springs? I may be interested in doing this. I picked the sled up in Iowa and have not had a chance to look things over real good.

were you asking me? if so yes I would trade you the whole shock assembly.

Just an FYI, for those of you looking to put air canisters on your sleds, I just bought a kit from DeyCore. His are just straight chambers, but they're a little more volume than the Fett Bros ones. And he's selling a two shock kit for $50 right now...

Just saying... :)
