air frames

any pics of the new skinz air frame boards on a pro

X2^^ would also like to hear from anyone running them. What do you think of them? I like the idea and think they would rock but I wonder how they feel on the mountain and how they work in different conditions.

I was curious about the same thing and was able to get this picture...I was told it is much better than the prototypes they had on the IQ's last season.

nice

I checked them out at the SLC show and I was very Impressed. If I don't like the way the stock one clearout those are the ones I will be installing

About time someone comes out with a decent design. I hate jumping on a expensive sled and watching the metal move 1/2" were your feet go. Just make it feel cheap to me. Anybody know who makes these and how much. I may get some for my new sled if they are reasonable.

Hopefully my set will be here soon, along with the bumpers, and seat.

COBE, is your footwell blocker plate/screen/vent (sorry not really sure what to call it) shipping yet?

While I can NOT comment on the PRO version of the boards, I did install them on my Yamaha Nytro and they are ABSOLUTELY BEYOND BELIEF when it comes to TRACTION and having ZERO SNOW on them while riding!

Do yourself a SERIOUS FAVOR, take a minute and read this review.

Here is your real world photo after a day in the snow.
Notice there is ZERO ICE anywhere, and almost no snow/powder at all to stand on.

Sweet

These things look so sweet. I am really wanting to put these on my Pro if the stock boards don't clear well enough. So far they have been working fine but as the snow gets deeper it will be interesting to see what happens.
That being said it seems apparent that you can't get any better snow clearance that the Skinz.
Still interested in hearing more reports on the "feet time". Would love to hear how they grip the boot. It seems like any problems with traction (if there were any) could be remedied by just adding more of the traction studs.
Anyway, for those of you running them would love to hear more comments Pros and Cons on these.

After spending a day in the deep wet cascade snow, I would say that the stock running boards work just as well as any aftermarket boards. They clear just fine (I even had the Polaris stiffeners installed). However with that being said, the only thing that I think would work better would be the air frames. I haven't tried them, but they sure look like they would work.

The airframes look great... Question: one thing that I have experienced is that the more "open" the running board profile, the more packed snow you get along the ouside of the tunnel, which can also be an issue. Has this been a problem for anyone?

I've noticed this with the stock running boards. Enough snow gets up there and starts wedging my feet off the boards. Need to get some UHMW film to put along the tunnel side to keep the snow from sticking.

The wet snow we have been having in Tahoe likes to clump up and you have to push it through the holes... about the same as the better boards that I have on my Nytro.

I really like the look of the airframes, thinking of building my own replica....

Footnote to my last post: I also have an ArcticFX wrap with the tunnel sides. I'm sure this helps with the snow not sticking.
