Air filter for a KX500 + TSS?

What are you using for an air filter for a KX500 + TSS?

My TSS came with a bunch of stuff sized for a 450. It looks to me like a 500 needs a 30 degree bend behind the carb because it sits so low.....

mines not on a 500 but on my 300 i never used that plastic piece and most of there hoses i used some larger auto rad hose and the 90 they supplied and it fit and was way less complicated.

I had to do the same on a cr... Add my own silicone elbow...

For my KX500 I used this:

but I am running an avid carb heater so you might want to check the size of your carb outlet!

HPS makes great stuff! they will have what you need!

So my filter gets covered with snow and the motor starves. I'm building an airbox.

Do you guys ride in snow?

On my cr500 i had the same setup. Covered in deep snow all the time and never missed a beat. Have you ridden the bike yet without deep snow? Possible other issue?

Same here ran in handlebar deep fluff never had an issue... I could see if you have high water content type snow and it freezes on the outwear it could restrict airflow... It would happen on my nytro with the turbo... But still never on the cr500... You could put a jacket on the engine?
