Anyone use an air cleaner / purifier in their home?

What do you like / dislike about them?

We have wood floors and think this might make the home a little cleaner..

My house is a tri level split just under 3000 SQ FT. I use 3 of these, bought them in 07. http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=BVrNT9eLFoOe2gWI5r2QAg&ved=0CNQBEPMCMAI

They are super quite and made HUGE difference. I went from dusting once a week to having virtually no dust.

I have bad allergies as well. I used to sneeze all the time. Now I almost never sneeze and feel MUCH better. We also have a dog in the house and walking in you'd never know.

The newer ones are supposed to work even better

The good air purifiers work well and will keep the dust down. If you want to keep you floors clean I would think about a robotic vac. We've had a Roomba for 5 years and with two long haired dogs it runs every day. We went from vacuuming every other day to once a week. If you have all hardwoods it will run a long time, I did have to modify it to keep the dog hair out of the gearbox. If you do think you would want a robotic vac buy a new one, the ones on Craigslist and Ebay are usually worn out and always need a new battery.
