air bubbles in oil lines

I just rebuilt an 03 800 and I'm finding little air bubbles in the oil line to the
crank (pto side). for the few miles I have on the rebuilt, the air bubles are
usually right at the fitting to the case. There are no bubbles in the supply
line from the reservoir. I manually pumped the lines full before initial start up. And when I see the bubbles on the hill side I crank the pump wide open to get the bubbles out. I've adjusted the pump so the lines are good. Is the pump bad?

Did you replace the tubing, bleed the pump? If you keep getting air bubbles and didn't replace the tubing, I would suspect air is getting sucked in.

I bled the pump. Should it be done while the sled is running? if air is being sucked in it would only be on suction side right? between reservoir and pump.

Doesn't need to be running to bleed it, and yes, if it's pulling air from somewhere, it will be before the pump.

If you hold the lever on the oil pump wide open while the sled is idiling and you see the bubble moving your pump is still working.

I wouldnt worry about the little air bubbles (only if there are few like 4 or 5 bubbles.) in the tubes, only if you riding fast, it will moving fast. You can adjustment the cable on the pump if you want to pour alittle more oil in or you better check it if its off marker. sometime the nut can come loose or broken cable. Yes, broken cable, it happened to me before.
