Air bubble in oil line

I installed a drop in kit in my 12 pro and I turned the pumped up 4 turns.

I hooked the oil arm open and let it idle... I can see the oil pulsing out of the reservoir but I can't get the bubble out.

Any suggestions?

Running mineral oil just in case that question comes up

How long are you letting it idle? How big is the bubble? What your doing is the right way. Pretty sure the manual says as long as its not more then 1" long your are fine.

I have had the same bubble appear by the tank fitting. I managed to remove it, but it comes back after rolling the sled. I'm not worried about it anymore.

I read in another thread to pull the hose off, use the oil running out of the tank to completely fill the hose and then put it back on. The air bubble will be gone. Knowing there will be some oil coming out place a rag under the fitting to catch any spillage.

Props to Gman for his original post, that I just happened to remember.

Awesome guys thanks.

I pondered the fill up the tube idea but hoped for another way to avoid any mess. I'll try the wot then fill the hose if it doesn't work.

The bubble is probably right at an inch

When I put mine back together, I just raised the oil tank up with the cap off and pinched the line below the bubble. This forced the bubble up in to the tank.

I'd tried that too and you just can't get it all out as some air remains in the plastic fitting of the tank (part you can't squeeze). The only foolproof method is to disconnect the line.

Have FUN!

The only thing I could get to work was just pulling the line off and letting the oil flow into the line...

She smokes like a 2stroke again

Ok maybe there is a bubble in the fitting I can't see, Mine seems to have a bubble most of the time, but I'm definitely using oil!

You can get it out but it will be back, dont worry about it as long as it uses oil and it will I am certain. I fought that with my 11 and finally gave up, it wont hurt a thing.

Mine seems to be staying away so far.... It only came about because I put a new top end on. I hope to keep the bubble out!! She smokes a LOT more now, the bubble has to be causing a lack of oil in my mind
