who else is pissy about the price of hand warmer elements? It seems I go throught them pretty regular so here is my latest solution.
I bought a set of polaris ATV heating elements for $32 I saved the connectors from older stock grips and soldered the connection onto the new element. Its pretty easy to figure out.
another tip is to Use air to get the grips off I have done it several times. Next time you put them on put in male pipe thread protectors the same size as the ID of th handlebar (orange ones sometimes red) when you apply the air in the small hole in the end of the grip it forces it through the grip contact area and it pops off. (both sides) without them you only get one side off easily.
If you are using ODI or other similar (streachy grips) I loosly wrap the end of a tie down strap around the length of the grip before I hit it with compressed air. otherwise it looks like a friggin baloon!
good luck
