I remember when this first hit Snowest last Dec. It was so sad to hear the stories, and then to see the interview that he gave a few days after the avy. My eyes filled with tears as he described running back to the trees as the 3rd avy broke and hearing his friend yelling to not leave him, I could not imagine how hard this has to be on him.

Good reminder to us all to be safe and pay attention to conditions.

The way he describes it it makes me feel like I was there. So many people are after getting the highmark but if you think about it say you get caught in a slide and die well your gone. But your family and friends are still around to have to live without you. Great thread to remind us all. Be careful think about who's waiting for you at home.

I to recall that. then I tried telling the wife about it in teh car one night and I had to choke back tears....I never want to hear or be the one yelling, "don't leave me". don't think there's enough beer in the world to get that out of your head.

Ride safe boys and girls and be smart out there! these guys did everything right and just got caught wrong place wrong time.
