Who's building an aftermarket pipe for the XP?
i had talked with rick at dynoport last week, he was dynoing the 800r for about a week he said and has a pipe that made about 5 hp in the midrange with about a 2hp gain at top rpm... he mentioned that is all he has found so far but more testing was to be done
you made 163hp on the dyno? What does a stock xp 800 dyno? What elevation did you dyno at?
i have heard that jim at dynotech dynoed the mbrp can... it lost 1 hp from stock!!
He has alot of work to do if cpi's pipe and can makes 12hp. Heck... Most cans make 4-6hp.
dyno at 5027 feet...total stock dyno, 149.5 hp...open the air box, 151.9, same as last year....2 flo-rites in the back of the air box, cpi single and can, 163.2 hp....run 500 main jets and shim the needle with one of the shim kits
i would love to see what the cpi makes on jims dyno compared to stock....12hp from a single seams a bit high compared to what the others are claming
keep in mind the bondi air box was to make 12 hp and only shows 1 hp on the dyno.... a cut up stock air box will make more
I would like to see this also. I get tired of all the aftermarket companys and all their bull **** claims. That is why I will just be sticking with a stock pipe and a after market can for weight loss.
PJ. a stock can weighs 15lbs on the xp. Where did you find a can that weighs more then 15 lbs less then a stock can?
Atleast 15lbs is what I was told a stock can weighs. I will weigh mine with a scale accurate to a 1/4 oz next week. I may even throw on a aftermarket can and weigh it.
stock xp can weighs 16lbs
