Aftermarket M1000 rear heat exchanger??

Yesterday a buddy and I were up playing in the mountains and he smacked the back of my sled with his front bumper on the trail when I stopped fast to look at something. It wasn't that hard of a hit at all and we didn't really think to much about it, until we stopped later and realized that the top of my tunnel was all tweaked (hidden underneath survival gear bag) and buckled from him shoving the bottom of the rear heat exchanger forward. It didn't hurt the exchanger, but I was looking at it and it is the stupidest design I have ever seen! It hangs down half the length of the snow flap. It is so vulnerable and would of been real easy to leave me stranded if it would of broke it. Anyways......I want to get rid of it and mount a flat one up against the bottom of the tunnel back there. Anyone know who makes these or just carries flat heat exchanger material to make my own? Thanks!

I just flattened my out in a press and reinstalled up in the tunnel. Pretty easy after it is flat you cut the long inlet and outlet tubs down and weld a couple of tabs on the end for rivets and put is back up in the tunnel. Can send you some pics if you need them.

I would of never guessed you could flatten the stock one out without ruining it. Where would be the best place to get a u-cooler?

That is exactly what I found last night and bookmarked. I will get whichever one is cheaper. That one or the stock '09 version. Thanks guys............

When I bought mine, I got one for a Crossfire.
It's twice the length and was the same price.

crossfire and its cheaper than vanamburg... i had problems with my ve more than once cheesy design. all they did was weld side cooler together problem is way too many welds = problems.

x2 on that on a one. Mine had the weld break on a huge trip 8 hours from the nearest town. Not good!! Went with a 2006 M7 cooler now.
