Aftermarket belts

I have a new '14 pro 800 and do not have a spare belt atm. I was looking into getting a spare and figured id search the internet. The OEM belts from the dealer are ideally what a guy should get, but they can run up around $200. I noticed ebay has other brands like HPX, Carlisle, and Gates ranging from $75 to $125. Has anybody tried using these cheaper ones, and how do they perform/last compared to the OEM's? I don't want to cheap out just to have it break after 200 miles, but if anyone has had success with these it might be worth the bargain.

Thoughts?

I'm running the Ultimax XS 809.I've got over 600 miles on it so far, seems to pull the same rpm as the Polaris 3211115.It also has a 1 year warranty, save the cardboard wrapper and your receipt. You can buy one for less than $95 shipped if you look around.

The 3211115 belt was specifically designed for the 2005 and 2006 RMK 900's because they were breaking all other belts you could throw at them due to the extreme torque. Polaris called those belts indestructable at the time they were introduced. That's the first thing I bought for my 900 a few years ago when I got it. I took a used one from the 900 and used it as a spare on my new Pro 800 this season. IMO there is NO better belt on the market period! I watch ebay and once a month or so you'll see an individual (not a dealer) that is selling one of those belts brand new for well below retail (i.e. around $100 to $125). I buy those and I have a few spares now. Also there is one guy that was selling them for around $165 shipped which is pretty good. I wouldn't waste my money on one of the aftermarket belts. Not sure about the cat belts. My $.02

Picture of a Carlise xs809. Happened last year on my 11 assault. Could have been from excessive heat but I've not seen belts Polaris belts snap like this. I keep it around to remind myself not to skimp.

Had a bit over 2000 miles on my Original 115 Poo belt on my 2011 Pro, took it off and installed the New Spare 115, just because. The Original is now my spare.

Run the 115 belt and listen for strings coming loose/ slapping the guard.
When you blow a belt you're crank flexes and the crank wheels spank the case.
Indy dan will not warrenty a crank that has blown a belt. He says as soon as he opens the case you can tell if the motor has blown a belt.
I had an 01 summit 700 back in the day that ate belts for lunch every ride.
I learned what to listen for even over the noise of the mbrp can.

Stick with the 1115. I'm on season two on my current 1115 and it's in great shape. When I had my '06 900, I got 1-1 1/2 seasons out of 1115's. You get what you pay for.

My first 115 belt went at 500 miles up in the mountains. So my faith in the 115 isn't that strong. I got some 809s on order which will save me some money for sending my clutches out to be balance and ordering up a torque arm this summer.
