After This Weekends Avalanches

Tell me that all of us snowesters are accounted for. It is sad to hear of all the deaths this weekend from avalanches. People please be careful these warnings are not jokes. Lets ride hard but be safe. My prayers go out to all the families that lost any one this weekend.

good friend of mine died in a avy near winthrop yesterday. being there trying to comfort the parents and get all the info so that they can get the body moved home was something that was just plain horrible. 23 years old and gone. what a waste.

Damn Mark, that's horrible, sorry this happened. Way to be their; for the ones left behind. That takes honor and courage man. :beer;

May your friend rest in peace, and the family heal.

I am originally from Omak, and I ride that area (Winthrop) all the time. I
did not hear that someone was involved in an avvy. Sorry to hear that

Sorry to hear this Mark. My prayers go out to you and his family.

Oh, that's horrible news.....!!!..........We rode in that area, only a few miles from there, the day before....... and could see that the area was primed for Avys. We were a canyon/mountain over on hwy 20 up by the Lake Ann trail head. We didn't know the rider but the news hit us pretty darn hard as it was extremely close to home for us and we had just been in the general area hours prior, and then all the "what ifs" enter your mind, what if we saw the rider the day before, what if we talked to him/her........very tough to deal with...............Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family of the rider. I am sooo sorry.....I school my kids everytime we go out on what can happen SO FAST, in the blink of an eye.....and then it's too late......:brokenheart:.....so if you need anything at all....moral support or whatever.....we are here for you and the family..........snowmobilers are all our family!! We continue to ride for those that no longer can......that's what they would want.......please be very careful!!!

Sincerely,

Joe
