After market intake questions

Ive been told that running the Timbersled intake or any other intake then stock will result in a lean burn down , which is a concern for me, Im riding an 09 M1000 with V-Force 3 reeds and a Bikeman Y pipe and can , and have been told that this sled doesnt need a fuel regulator or control box, I ride from 1500 ft to about 7500 ft. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have personally seen a couple of m1000s burn down with the same mods.I have even seen one burn down with just the y-pipe and a can.My advise would be to get a control box and give it a bit more fuel where needed. It can sometimes be hard to get warranty on a lean seize.Besides,it will be alot cheaper to buy a control box now instead of buying a piston and a jug later!

X2 Get the fuel controller, and tune for the mods you add to the sled. The stock mapping is for a stock sled. As for the A/M intake, the same applies.
