So I got my silber turbo kit out for a few miles today and after reading and looking all over the old interweb I couldn't come up with with what I was looking for. Running down the trail at 6000 ish steady throttle I was in the 17 range and wide open at 7900 8000 rpm I was high 13 low 14. I know mid range going down the trail is kind of hard to tune doing to over lap but just wanted to make sure my top end numbers were going to be in the safe zone. Also running 100 percent AV Side note I was on clicker 3 and only seeing 7900 ish so I'm going to leave the clutching alone tell I get in some real snow.

You are a little lean at WOT. Should shoot for 12-13 at WOT. Some may say even richer. Also running down the trail cruising the etec is very lean stock. May want to bump up the mid range fueling during trail operation if you have a fair amount of trail to ride.

What are your first thoughts on the Silber kit? Also what boost are you running.

Ok i will add one number on the box for the top end and see ware I'm at. Most days don't ride more then 4 or 5 miles of nothing but trails before i jump off the side of the road and play around. First thought of the kit is it was worth the money. If I go from a dead stop to pinned to the bars it has a bit of a bog (fill like thats a typical etec turbo thing), but I was going on and off the throttle trying to simulate tree ridding the best i could and there was zero bog and 5 pounds of boost almost right away and hit 7 lbs not long after so not much turbo lag. Im running 7 lbs (what it comes set at) with the external gate. It pulls harder then stock but with 3 inches of fluff on top of 16 inches of ice with a 3 inch track i didn't have much traction. Ill be heading out Friday up north in what should be decent snow and will hopefully have better feed back and some gopro footage.

I would start out plenty rich as it is better to start out on the safe side. On my T-etec the AFR is off the charts on the trail while in the midrange. I have gotten into the habit of bumping my fuel numbers up before heading out on the trail just for peace of mind. It will also help to vary the throttle while going down the trail. I would bet if you installed a AFR gauge on a stock sled you would be amazed at how lean they run. Full throttle, max boost mine runs best around 12.0 to 12.5. Good luck with your new set up, they are a blast once you get the initial tuning done!

Definitely richen it up as the others have said, low load/cruising start at ~15:1 or slightly richer, mid load around 13:1 and high load/wot at around 12:1. From there you can play with it too see what runs best and how your plugs look, but start conservatively.

Any suggestion or watch outs on the install? Have one coming also same as yours. Did you start at the suggested program numbers given on the website instructions? Also which color would you adjust up for richening the mid range?

Yellow is for the mid range I would have to run out to the sled but I believe i went a half number higher then they said because even cat guys say there kits run lean in the mid range with there numbers. Install was rather simple I bought some heat tape to put on the tube from the turbo to intake as its kind of close to the exh also simper to install this tube with the pipe out. And because i was talking to someone that did this the other day make sure you don't start the sled with the gauge cluster unhooked or you'll blow coils.

Personally I would look into a full clutch kit. We tried to run just the spring and the weights that come in the kit a couple years ago on my friends sled. It was hard to keep it off the rev limiter with just that setup.

I would be interested to hear what more silber doo guys are running for clutch setups.

Also what boost at what elevation with what fuel.

Got the kit installed today, set @7 lbs 7-10k. 40% race gas. Also running a shockwave so should be able to go a little steeper. Also will probably go with a 200/290 primary spring.
Can't seem to get the o2 sensor to calibrate. Keeps reading 22.4 all the time

At idle thats what mine reads, kind of made me nervous at first that it wasn't working but if I give it gas it would move.

Test run last week. was still lean at cruising 6500 rpm with 17afr yellow set at 2. Also had a large hesitation just prior to boost kicking in at 7000rpm. Not sure if red blue needs lowered to allow boost fuel to come on sooner? Once in the boost it really pulls and afr showing 12.5. Also had back fire during that hesitation a couple times. Any suggestions on fuel adjustments.

I run the red/blue setting at zero on mine and never touch it. I find the turbo plenty responsive without pulling boost fueling.
