Aerocharger KTM 450 kit in the works

This is footage from Aerocharger's KTM 450 turbo snowbike at Snowy Range last week (9-10k feet). 53 Series turbo @ 6 psi.

This system is still getting proved out but we're liking what we're seeing - rapid boost and lots and lots of power. More info to come.

Yeah here's the thing... even after the guys had it tied down with the heavy duty ratchet straps, and with a 350ish pound guy sitting on it, they were still having a heck of a time keeping the slick from smoking on the drum and breaking grip. So we'll have to come back to that.

Our turbo system for KTM Snowbikes is proved out and ready to go. We're running a promotional special if you'd like to get one yet this season, just email us this month for details. The Aerocharger 53 series proved out to be an awesome turbo for snowbikes - zero lag boost makes very early power gear to gear, and this system is exceptional for tree riding. Fuel management is provided by an included Power Commander V, and pump gas is fine to run over 6500' elevation at 6psi.

Looks amazing. Very impressed. I hope you pick up a TSS fit kit and consider making turbos to fit with it. As well as hoping you have success with this one and are able to expand your product line.

I would LOVE to have one of these but the $5000 US price tag is $$$$! If a manufacturer could get them down to around the $2500 - $3000 mark I think they would sell a lot more of them! 90 HP would be soooo much fun!

so very tempting, I bought a kx450 bike for next season and a 2016 TSS ST because my 500exc was lacking power :/. Will the promotion that was supposed to run till today be continued until the end of the month?

Hopefully a turbo bike will outrun one on nitrous. Even if they are close that would be disappointing for the extra $$$ of the turbo.

Nitrous was an option for people who want more instant power in the trees, not like the long pulls the Boondocker boys wanted. The boondocker turbo is lacking severely in the tight trees and a stock bike just stomps it everywhere but out in the open. Nitrous, for me, was a great fit for a guy who didn't want the problems of a Boondocker turbo.

Aerocharger and KMS (specifically the rear mount YZ turbo) might be changing that picture. Time (and more users) will tell.

they will, i was just razing them. We rode with em early in the development stages when the more dialed in N20 bike would pull it, now it looks to be a whole new beast.

Very excited to see a turbo kit with any sort of low end grunt and throttle response.
