Aerocharger ETEC terrible bog! Help!

Hey guys,

Just have my 11 etec aerocharger turbo out in Valmount BC for the first time today was my first day riding it in the mountains and the low end bog was almost unbareable. I have played with the turbo pitch, anywhere from 2.5-3.5 turns on the boost controller with no luck fixing the problem. It has boyseen turbo reeds in it, which can make it bog a bit from my understanding, but this bog makes it almost useless in the mountains. Takes about 4 seconds after stabbing the throttle to have enough power to make it side hill. Any ideas how to fix the problem? Any help is appeciated. Thanks

I would try to get the new aerocharger reeds that they have tested by brp. Did you install the turbo your self or have some one that knows alot about turbos do it? On my 14 aerocharger i have a little bog in the bottom end but it sounds like something is wrong if it has 4 seconds of bog.

A buddy is running an aero, he had to add a lot of fuel under boost, pretty much max out the setting to get it to run. It would not hardly get past 7,000rpm and would just bog.

11 aero

check the hose that comes off of the rave selonodes , make sure they are not kinked, if you have any miles on the plugs , change them

Hey guys,

These are things we can help you trouble shoot, but we'll need some more info from ya. I sent some PM's - give us a call, we're here all day.

I have a question in regards to fuel controller settings and fuel pressure. On my turbo Etec sled I have tried/ran two different models of fuel controllers, Boost-it and Attitude. On each box my settings had to be ran richer (higher numbers) than what the suggested starting points were. Is this related to the fuel pressure of my particular engine? Does fuel pressure have a effect on how rich or lean a fuel controller operates at? Has anyone seen Etec fuel systems that were low on pressure? Thanks..

That could explain the differing states of tune with sleds running the same kits. When we have issues with the supercharged seadoo's the first thing we do is check the fuel pressure as they are known for being all over the board.

Keep us posted on how things shake out.

Yes, It's common place on the Cat's. Alot buy aftermarket pressure regulators and dial in their fuel pressure.
