Has anybody tried one by chance? Like the idea of closing off intake from rest of the sled I torched a belt the other day in heavy wet snow and had belt fuzz everywhere including stuck to turbo intake screen. Who knows how much turbo sucked in. Want to maintain the free unrestricted airflow that it has but definately don't like seeing my turbo sucking belt fibers and other debris. Don't want a snorkel tied to turbo either but it's in the works if this hybrid snorkel don't help much. Any real world Feedback would be great.. I'm not looking for a bunch of aero haters posting stupid bs either please. I have what I have and happy with it just wanting to improve on it. Thanks

Out yesterday with a t3 aero.. He had it installed at Colorado and they made a cold air intake that grabbed from the stock intake air ports.. It worked well and gave no grief.. And you would never know it was a turbo

On mine I used a much simpler set up and just use a 45 degree and a snorkel housing off the turbo.. I don't have no regrets as well and seen a big difference drawing in clean cold air rather than hot

Aeros own idea has also been tested and works good, so don't be afraid to try any.. Main goal is to grab cold air

In theory the intercooler should take care of hot air but like u say cold air has gotta be better than all hot. From what I saw is the turbo seems to favor engine air more than actually sucking through the venting from anount of fibers I had all over exhaust side of sled. Definately like the open air or free air concept that aero has so think I'll try hybrid snorkel first and see how it does. If it don't work I'll already have a snorkel and just have to plumb it to turbo

i have the hybrid snorkel on my sled and what i have noticed is that the intake material rips really easily and it allowed snow to be sucked in the turbo and bogged out all day from there. other than that the intake that separates the compartments works well and helps with hot air getting to the turbo and my sled has shredded some belts and i like the idea that it keeps most of the debris away from the turbo.

Ya that screening definately isn't the strongest hell my sled never even touched snow before I had one corner pull loose and frayed in the wind on way home after I had turbo put on in Colorado. It was 22 below that night and running 85 down interstate with sled on the deck for 300 miles. Nothing a little guerrilla glue and a heat gun couldn't fix though. Guerrilla glue and some tape ride in my pack since just incase
