Advice on the new project

Well guys, the race is on.
I decided to retire the 06 rev for another 06 X package that I got a really good deal on. The project is a 06 skidoo 800 151" X package. The motor is already were I want it with hi-comp pistons, lots of porting work, and a speedwerx head(I have to run 50/50 mix race/pump gas). The tunnel was tweaked when I bought it so that's the first thing on the list. I just got a new tig welder so I'm going to try my luck at building a chromoly tube tunnel with carbon fiber inlay. I also pulled the Boss seat and TI a-arms off of my old rev. What I'm looking for is advice on what has worked the best as far as mods go to make this thing awesome. My thoughts so far, timbersled rear skid, RMI or CMXDS drive?, float front shocks or stock?, pipe? Thanks for the input

I don't know a lot about tube chassis but I did see what Justin at Fastrax built, and it seemed pretty well put together. Might check out there site, I know Curt is one that you can call and he would give you good solid honest input, without run around. www.ftxmotorsports.com They also have been working with someone on carbon fiber, saw the RMK hood in the showroom last week and it looked sweet!

Your working on about the same project as I am. In my research I'm thinking K-mod if I go 151, Timbersled if I leave it a 144, the cmxds drive , stock shocks if your a boondocker, floats if you want to loose weight, its hard to beat the stock pipe but ceramic coat it. My .02

Thanks for the replys. Yeah im thinking ceramic coating with exhaust wrap also. Thats what sounds like it works the best. I had just the ceramic coating on my old 06 and it kept eating through the two orange rubber pipe holds. As for mods. I really want to go as light as possible because im thinking about putting a turbo'd nytro motor in for next summer. Any thoughts :D

thats what i was thinking too. the previous owner told me so but never asked about them. ill get ahold of him and see if he is just pulling my leg.
