steering needs attenetion, so motor is coming out, sled rarley eats belts, the qustion is - should i put in compfusion mounts?

Yes, they are a cheap investment. Stock mounts are junk!!!! They will eventually go bad.

At the very least I would replace all the mounts if you have the engine out.

recoil hsg bolts

I would also remove the bottom recoil hsg bolts and leave them out if its anything like a 900 setup....makes life easier in the end. Or make an point of entry for these while the motor is out.

check intake boots while you have it out. replace exhaust Y gaskets if they are leaking.

Drill new holes and move your VR forward about 1/2" so the tank doesn't jam into those wires so hard.
Helps in getting the tank back on too.

That, or move the tank back 1/4 inch.
