A friend of mine was riding last week and the sled locked up on him. You could turn the clutch 3/4 way around and it would lock up. Upon disassembly the PTO side piston struck an exhaust valve. There is 2000 miles on sled all stock. I am looking for any info from guys that have seen this kind of failure. Thanks

I had that happen to my 2003 Esccape with the orignal valves that were aluminum. By chance are these aluminum as well?

Now Polaris sells stainless steel valves. I had aluminum ones until this fall. Mine never broke, but it looks like one was about to. IIRC the 05' sleds had titanium valves stock, then the SS valves came out as the replacements.

Order 2 of reference #17, for the 800. Cheapest I found the valves anywhere, 92 each or so. They include the valve, bellow, spring, and nut that threads on the valve. http://www.polarispartshouse.com/oe...s04nk8cs-a-b-c-s04nl8cs-a-b-c-s04nm8cs-a-b-c#
