Adrenaline vs X packag??

I know this is probably a dumb question but I have to ask. I think I have my current sled sold (03 Renegade 800 now a 151") - hopefully it is gone Friday. And I have found a 2006 800 Summit 151" Adrenaline and a 2006 800 Summit 151" X - for the same price. The Adrenaline does not have rebuildable shocks I believe and the X does. But the Adrenaline only has 1087 miles and the X has 1800. That 800 miles difference is like 2 years of riding for me. Both of the sleds are at dealers so I believe the ring updates have been done - will definitely be asking. I like both of them for colors and what they come with but I really like the X because of the better shocks but the mileage on the Adrenaline. What are some other differences between the two packages? I am leaning towards the X but just thought I would get some feed back before the big purchase (after my sled sells). Just noticed I cannot spell package in the subject title. Also I notice that alot of guys have new motors in their sleds? Is this something I should be concerned about and if so what should I ask or look for? Thanks.

06 didnt have ring problems. X better bars, seat ,shocks, and braided brake line. There may be more Someone will correct me If im wrong. Whats the price difference?

The sleds are the same price - $5999. I am going to work on getting it for $5400-5500 out the door or do you think I could go lower? But that could be wishfull thinking.

5400 a good price. The X also comes with a Clear tank and a wave brake rotor.

Well once I have cash in hand Friday night first phone call Saturday is to the dealer and I will start to see if I can work some magic and get it for the price that I want. Thanks for all the info. I knew that the X was better and it is what I wanted. Found the Adrenaline first and a friend found the X later. Hard to find 151's here in MN.

Get the X model. I have the same sled and it flat out rocks.

If you have cash in hand offer them $5k then barter from there, thats probably more than they gave the guy that traded it in.

Yeah the less I can spend is better for me. I just hate the whole barter thing. I would just like to have most of the deal done before I get there. I have to drive like 2-3 hours to get to the dealer. The less I can spend means the more I have to put into little things that I may still need. I can always start real low and work my way up to the most that I would spend.

Try to find trade in value on KBB. Then go in and offer them 100 more and tell them that you know how much they paid for it. Thats a good start. I just bought the same sled for 6 with 1100 miles. I got it with the slp power package and it still needs some tuning to be really good. X package also has a better clutch from what i hear. Plus bragging rights with the x package

if your lookin for a 151 or longer in mn., then Jaycox imp. in worthington is your best bet. no kidding, that place is the bomb for parts and SERVICE is second to none.

Have been looking at Jaycox but the only things they have right now are 05 800 144" for like $200 less than the 06 800 151" X that I am looking at. One has the same miles as the 06 Adrenaline that I found and the other one has only 763 miles on it. But I am looking for a 151". Well I sure hope this guy was telling the truth and will show up tomorrow night and I am ready. Think I will go and negotiate on the X package. Will have cash in hand. Ok just went and checked the trade in on KBB for the X sled - $3975. That seems low doesn't it? If that is the case I will really go in and try to pay less than what they want.

That sounds a little low. I'm telling ya offer them $5k and be ready to walk if you have to. Do not get emotional over any sled. I'll bet you can own that sled for under $5,500.00 Anything in the $5- $5.5 k would be a good deal on that sled.

I just got back from a ride on my 06 X this afternoon after getting 20 inches of fresh Idaho powder over night. The sled flat out rocks, and your going to love it if you end up buying it.

06 X also has the 2.25 powdermax track and a linked swaybar vs the 2" track and a solid sway bar on the Adrenaline. They both come with 13 wide chains in 06 although they may be geared a bit differently so I would replace the gears and chain with TEAM 3/4" HYVO stuff and youll be all set. Great sled either way.

Roller clutch too i believe, no tunnel rack and what not, so it was like 10 or 15 lbs lighter than the adrenaline due too the sicc seat and rack being taken off. The 144 rip just as hard as the 151 does if not better. just .02

06 X Gets My Vote

We have a 06 800 144 X, GREAT sled, a blast to ride , Go for the X you wont be disapointed Even being a 144 the sled gets around very well in the deep. Rides the trail home very smoothly. Goes as good as a stock XP 146. Dino

This is very good, I really appreciate all the info. I was leaning twords the X before but now I am definitely going for the X. Well the guy who was going to buy it backed on out on me on Christmas. So called the next guy who was "hot" after it. So he says he is in and will pick it up tonight with cash in hand. I tell you what I have never sold a sled before and this was the first sled I ever bought that I am selling. There are some WIERD people out there. Tried selling it on here but I am from MN so getting more people calling me from Craigslist. Just want to deal with a normal person. Ok sorry about the venting on here. If all goes well I will hopefully be driving home with a 2006 red & white X 800 151" tomorrow in the back of my truck.

Skidoo's numbers not mine! I threw the 06 X seat on my 05 adren. and its well over 5lbs lighter right there. plus the bars n riser and no rear rack, 10-15 lbs less on X package

yes, Doo advertized 06 adrenaline 15 lbs lighter than 05 adrenaline
06 X 151 is 5 lbs lighter than 06 adrenaline 151 so is 20 lbs lighter than your 05
