adjustable steering post

can anyone tell me the difference between part # 1705-355 and 0705-987 they are the post segment of the adjustable steering post on a M series.

1705-253 is the non-adjustable standard steering post on the '08 and up standard sleds.

0705-987 is the adjustable height steering post on the '09 and up Sno Pro models.
