adding oem e-start kit?

I purchased p/n: 860200042 for my 08 xp 154" and it came with everything needed to install, including battery & bolts.

thanks.does it start with the factory reverse/start button or a key?....it shows #860200042 REV-XP models w/797 engines and #860200264 for a rev- xp 800r.i wonder which to get.they didnt know:eek::)

Hello snowmobiler,
On my 2008 Summit XP X, it utilizes the RER/Start button for the electric start.... just like it would have been if installed @ the factory. :) In regard to you question of which kit to get, I agree that the previous link lists the kits in a very confusing manner. Try THIS LINK as it's listings are much more "understandable".

In addition, the 2009 BRP Riding Gear, Parts & Accessories catalog lists the 860200042 kit as fitting the 2008 XP 800R and the 860200264 kit is listed as fitting the 2009 XP 800R models.
