adding oem e-start kit?

and they said it dont come with battery box, battery or bolts.is that true?thanks

I purchased p/n: 860200042 for my 08 xp 154" and it came with everything needed to install, including battery & bolts.

You may want to go onto Dootalk and look for an electric start. Several people take them off and sell them there, and you may be able to get everything somewhat cheaper.

thanks.does it start with the factory reverse/start button or a key?....it shows #860200042 REV-XP models w/797 engines and #860200264 for a rev- xp 800r.i wonder which to get.they didnt know

Hello snowmobiler,
On my 2008 Summit XP X, it utilizes the RER/Start button for the electric start.... just like it would have been if installed @ the factory. In regard to you question of which kit to get, I agree that the previous link lists the kits in a very confusing manner. Try THIS LINK as it's listings are much more "understandable".

In addition, the 2009 BRP Riding Gear, Parts & Accessories catalog lists the 860200042 kit as fitting the 2008 XP 800R and the 860200264 kit is listed as fitting the 2009 XP 800R models.

If I am understanding correctly(I have been known to be a bit confused sometimes...lol) don't you have a 09 that you want to install the e-start on? If yes, you will want p/n: 860200264.
