Just a wonder, how high of a pressure do you want it to hold, just the max your turbo is rated for or slightly higher to ensure you get everything out of it that you can?

The Bov works when it detects vacuum it's not the same as a wastegate which is part of the turbo setup. Set the BOV low so when you come off the throttle it spills boost and keeps the turbo spooled and nulls any boost spike which is what's helping blow your airbox off. When you get back on it the turbo is already close to being up to speed.
