I know there has been some discussion about this but couldn't find much info on the search. What are you people using for DD lube as opposed to paying $20cdn every time you want fresh oil. I would change mine more often if there was a cheaper alternative. I remember awhile back someone mentioned Caterpiller HYDO, Anybody try this? or ant other substitute? What was long term result? Any input would be great.

My thoughts exactly. I was thinking about a very good synthetic motorcycle oil, they lube whole transmissions on bikes like the Hyabusa and in race conditions and there is a whole lot more going on in one of those than a DD
I too was wondering but ended up putting the Amsoil series 2000 chaincase lube in. I talked to some other guys that were using it and never had a problem. I use Amsoil in all my toys.
Cat DD Oil
Im A Amsoil dealer and I had the guy that is an enginer that i buy my amsoil from send in some DD cat oil and they did an oil analis on it and he told me to run the Amsoil series 2000 cahin case oil in them I Have it in 2 M7's with Mods & my 07 M1000 With twin pipes and I have run it all last year and when I changed it this yearit looked perfect as where in years past the cat oil looks & smell bad & burn't Amsoil Is only $6.25 A 12oz bottle and I think it works 10 times better hope this helps.
