access via Beehive Rd. in Wenatchee area

We almost rode today but bagged out, not sure where the good access is, if any, right now. Drove to Beehive, 'Road Closed' gate and sign but could easily ride around that gate. Any other insight on this and any other possible decent accesses? Thanks!

Beehive is not that popular of an area. The road that connects into Haney medows is not groomed or broke in..(except for the Hogloppet cross country race) If you go into the beehive have Beacons with you. there are a lot enticing holes that are easy enough to get into and not so easy to get out of. Many times fog will settle into those holes in the evening.

OK, here's the deal............

Rode it today (03-18-10) from the Blewett snow-park...26 miles from Blewett to the paved road below "BeeHive"....Hit bare dirt 2.5 miles from the paved road (could see it from where we turned around.....Went thru at least 3 open gates, so the one you see closed is probably meant to keep U out of the BeeHive Rev............At least 3 places could be 'drifted over" and not accessible from Blewett, BUT, it's been a low snow year and got thru with about 3 very easy "side-hill" areas.............I think, if you can get past the gate on the Wenatchee side, you''ll hit 2 to 2.5 miles of dirt on/off and then be good to go................

Rumor is, you can find some good play areas if you know where to look............Just saying, poke around a bit and you can have some "happy times"..............
