Just picked one up, didn't care for the fit of the BCA so I went this route. No knock on BCA pack as it appears to be a very high quality pack. Frankly don't think I gained much on fit with this one but it will need to suffice.

In any case I have a few questions if someone can help I would appreciate it.

1. Can you move the trigger handle from left side to right? If so how? Seems like it should be on the right side, so theoretically you could run throttle and deploy at the same time if needed?
2. What is the little bungie cord deal for on the top of the pack?
3. Where do you put your shovel and probe, inside the pocket I assume?
4. Do you ride with the velcro strip over the trigger handle or do you really need to velcro it under when riding? Seems like you could easlily pull it with velcro strip over it? Seems like this would help from accidentally deploying it which I would do.

Thanks

1. - The trigger can be moved from the left to the right side. There is a right side trigger holder that can be ordered. The cost is right around $30 for the part. We can special order it for you.

2 - There is a handle on the top of the pack for carrying the pack, I'm not aware of another bungie cord.

3 - Depending on the shovel, you can put the blade on the outside of the pack and the other items inside the pack. See thread: http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193723

4 - I personally ride with the velcro strap over the handle; it is not difficult to pull the handle through the velcro. ABS recommends to the ride with the handle not covered by the velcro

Hope that helps,

Cade

I've given trigger location a LOT of thought & having set off a chunk of slides this year have had a chance to give it some more realistic study.

My take is this: When riding out of avalanche debris, there is NO chance that you would ever take a hand off of your bars to pull the handle. The only scenario that I could think of is if you were in a spot where a slide got set off above you & you were on flat ground where you could stay on the throttle & still pull the trigger. With this scenario in mind though, next time your riding full throttle, take a hand off & reach toward the trigger, I just don't see it happening at full throttle, and there's no way you'd be doing any less than full throttle!!

The bungie I use to carry a jacket in the afternoon in spring, or to wrap around a big shovel that I carry from time to time. Being such thin material I don't trust it for much though.

I deployed my bag with the velcro on, it's not going to be an issue, you'll pull hard enough to pull off the velcro!

Why someone would give a negative to you for that post is beyond me btw, I don't get it.
