Flying West next weekend and will have my ABS pack, will I have issues checking the bag? Do I need to remove the bottle or anything?

Call your airline and ask them..on mine when I shipped it up I had to fly the bottle seperate thru fed-ex since it is considered hazardous material....(at that time fed-ex was the only option for air )
they will most likely reguire an msds sheet on it as well.........

Was planning to but figured someone has already been there done that. Figure the first 7 people I talk with at the airline won't know what an ABS is anyway.

you might be surprised..alot of peeps ski and use bags as well....the bag is a non issue..just the cannister is...you might also contact snowbigdeal on here..am sure they have flown packs before as well.

I swear at least one brand has a sticker on the tank that says it is FAA compliant. I would contact the manufacture of your bag/tank or Snowbig deal.

Talked with 4 different people at Southwest, just what I expect. Not one of them had heard of and Avalanche pack etc, and all said I can't carry on or check the bag. Gave up, having a buddy deliver my bag to the hill, not messing with the airports.

Left a VM with Snow Big Deal, will post what they have to say for the benefit of others that may want to try this later.
