As far as auto dealerships go my rule of thumb is...the bigger they are the more they suck (chain stores take the suck to the next level)

Should be fine. I have a friend that lives in UT that buys all his trucks from Dave Smith. He has nothing but positive things to say.

Love them!

Bought my 08 Dodge Cummins from them, was very happy. They tell you all fees over the phone, and before you buy they show you on paper all fees included(salesman commission, title, etc), same price they gave me on the phone.

The only one I didnt agree with was the $175 window tint fee, they tint the windows on every vehichle unless ordered without.

When I bought the truck they beat Lithia dodge in Billings by $4,500! (In 2008)

Also priced out GMC & Chevys and compared to Denny Mentholt & Rimrock in Billings, Kellogg beat them by over $5,000! (In 2008)

Currently dealing with them on trade for a new tuck.

try newby in southern utah...they beat out dave smith motors and all other gm dealers I tried when I bought my last suburban..and they were by far the best dealer I have ever delt with both in sale and follow up after the sale.....

Bought the wife's Durango from them with no issues. The price they gave me over the phone was exactly what we paid. They even gave us what they said they would on our trade in. Walked in, did a quick test drive and inspection and we were on our way. Good experience...

thanks to all who posted

the price is good, going to pull the trigger, going from red to Black flash metallic really sparkly looks like a metal flake paint

Dont do it! I got the same color paint, it looks amazing when its washed & waxed but the other 97% of the time its looks like crap. Next time Im goning white!

I go to the auction and buy one with 10,000 miles for $10,000 less. I loose enough on my sleds once removed from dealers property, why do it with a truck

everyone thanks for posting- blitzkrieg- nice job

I had pulled the trigger on the graphite metallic, but after getting blitzkriegs post , I got buyers remorse, sent the wifey down to the dealer to look at it, she did not like it, said she wanted quicksilver instead. I told her I was buying a new pickup for her, yes I let her pick out the color the last 2 have been fire red, a little tired of red so. she really liked silver so i switched pickups at the last minute. going to put a tuff country leveling kit on it and some 275/65/r20 toyo all terrrains on it as well as my old Diable tonneau cover, bed rails an bug shield should look really good when done. thank you all for your posts. Snowesters Rock!!!!!

Smith, Smith, your are going to have interactions with someone named Smith?

I would be embarrassed driving a brand new vehicle around town with an emblem from a dealer that wasn't local.

It would also be very embarrassing asking for warranty service.

Yikes.

I got a better price from a small town dealership that I grew up in than Dave Smith quoted me, by 300 dollars. And I only had to drive 140 miles to get it versus 450. Lithia Dodge here in Billings was 6 grand more. For 6 grand I am not embarrassed to go to Lithia for warranty work with another dealers name on my truck. Maybe they will wake up, pull their head out of their butts and start dealing.

The first thing I would do is drive to the local dealer and say thanks for the help but the 8k was just a little more of a bonus than you deserved. I bought my 09 m1000 the same way, $2600 under the local guy, I gave him the chance to come within $500, threw a fit made threats and was more than happy to do service and warranty work when the economy crashed. Service goes both ways, after 5% it goes the other way.

I get the on-line price from Dave Smith's and put it in my pocket... then I go in to the local dealer and ask them for their best price no BS on a like vehicle. The local dealer is not even in the same ball park... if they had been a couple of hundred, heck $500 on the same truck I would spend our money with them.

Contract rules require the dealer to service the vehicle and the local dealer does even with "Dave Smith Motors" on the tailgate... anyone asks I explain they had their chance... have bought two trucks from Smiths no problems:yo:

Its pretty sad when you learned more than the dealer about duramax's by reading bs online. I still call them and ask questions for a good laugh, the result of there answer is come on in and we will spend your money. I live in a small town have started doing diesel repairs after ppl get sick of spending money and no fix they find me, and I learned fixing my own because the freakin dealer couldn't give me a straight answer.
Same goes for gasers. there is more to it these days than having a certified piece of paper

My 2012 GMC LSE- MSRP $39205 with curent rebates and discount

1/2 ton crew cab 4x4 I paid $29800 a $9500 discount below MSRP. but had to have it done by the 10th of October. freaking great deal
