I was thinking about doing this to my 07 800r. My ? is ,is this a relieable mod and is it worth the money. i dont want to rebuild a motor every weekend

i had a rkt 738 from the 600HO last winter, that sled ripped, i burned it down 3 times, but i think they were all my lack of jetting skills. the motor made great power, ran super cool with the rkt head, and had a really impressive bottom end pull to it. just make shure to keep an eye on the pistons once they seat, cuz all my rides that i burned down on were my fourth ride, and that put me at 4 full tanks thru it, which is right about how ,long it takes for the pistons and rings to totally set, so i beleive once they set all the way, it needs a little more fuel than the stock motors, just keep an eye on it and that motor will pull ya around and make you very impressed.

I have one, ran the stock exhaust and 470 and 480 mains raised the needles one clip 1200 miles and still running!!! I never did anything but put gas in it and oil. I also ran up to 65 shot nos on it to. I will put some new pistons in it this year and thats does not have to be done but it dropped about 10 psi in one cyl but still runs STRONG I just like a fresh topend to start the year. Hope this helps

All I will say is I towed a few out last year with that set up, several times. You do the math.

You need to tell your friends how to set up a sled AKA just do what Kelsey said to do. I know 2 people that did what he said and have never did a thing but ride it and one is in an xp with 2200+ miles

I can vouch for x-5 on that. That thing ripped. And nobody is as hard on a motor as this guy. If that motor can withstand this kind of abuse and a 65 shot, it can take just about anything. And it is just as strong as Kelsey says it is. I have done the math and setup is everything. This kit will be on my next sled.
