? about new 509 goggles

Last season there were quite a few of us interested in improved 509's with extended foam to help on cold days. I saw in another thread ( didn't want to hijack) they may be out soon. Will they be a diff. model or diff. part#, just want to be sure to get the extended foam ones.

there was in article in the last snowest magazine about his googles and the new ones coming out with more foam for the cold days as well as a detachable nose guard

We are phasing out the current 509 goggle, replacing them with the new 09 model which does have the oversized foam and removable mask. These are about 4-6 weeks out. We'll update our website to indicate the new model and almost all dealers will stock the new model exclusively.

Soon as I nail down a clear cut delivery date, I will update the website and start taking pre-orders. Likely 1-2 weeks before the delivery date.

Price will be the same ($75). Unfortunately we won't be able to continue our discount program or offer an upgrade discount, as it would undercut our dealers and distributors.

No, unfortunately that was our introductory special offer. MSRP has always been $75. We have brought in alot of new dealers and distributors, so last thing we want to do is undercut them.

Still at full retail price, they are lower cost than a comparable Scott, Oakley, Smith, etc. Great value for the money and backed for life.
