Your's just didn't show any Life Lesson or have anything directly related to flatlanders at all.

That's exactly what he meant.. the flatlander was the guy stuck.. and hiking.. I know because well.. that was me..
Tried 10 time to get outta that f'n bowl on my very first day of riding in the mountains... kept gettin kicked around in the snow so I said screw it and walked out.
Just to round out the story..
