A little poll.....

If you could only choose one answer and stick with it the rest of your life, and assuming other factors are moot such as does the place sell donuts and red bull, location, convenience etc. would you:

A) pay the going price for gas knowing that at least part of it is imported from the Middle East or Venezuela

or

B) pay 50 cents more a gallon to purchase gas that is produced only from North American oil

I'd have to choose B. You guys are forgetting about all of the hidden cost's to our economy. If it is a local product then we don't have to keep shipping lanes in the mideast open. How about shipping costs and accidents that pollute. How about the jobs that are created for our brothers, sisters, fathers, neighbors etc.? How about the money stays in our economy and not to OPEC? We could pay out less welfare and jobless benefits. Under the scenario that you put forth then I say option B and we win , win, win bigger than the additional 50 cent surface charge.

diesel will be down to 70 cents a gallon in my "area" this summer.i for one am getting sick of being dependent on the oil companies even if they are us based.call me wierd but i firmly believe the oil prices are a scam to pay for this war...
