So I moved to utah from Nevada a couple years ago. I have only ridden American fork canyon and up by heber. Can anyone tell me what direction to head on Friday to have the best chances of finding some good pow for my turbo? I am not looking to poach your honey hole, just some helpful hints and maybe some people to ride with. I don't mind driving but the closer to lehi the better. Thanks

I moved away some time ago, but I made a second home in Soapstone and Mill Hollow during the winter for many years. Great areas with tons of space for everyone.

If it's steep and deep for the turbo, head to Fairview. My parents live there and I ride it a couple of times a year. You won't be disappointed with hillclimbing along the skyline drive. If you live in Utah county fairview is a relatively easy drive.

Strawberry/Daniels is also fun, but I didn't get to those areas very much. Soapstone/Woodland/Wasatch Mt./Fairview usually had our attention.

Contact Canyonrat on here. posts in the Utah section and rides in Soapstone area a lot.

Wasatch State Park trailhead in Midway has a lot of vertical chutes for Turbo's, but it's the same trail system as American Fork, just the backside. I steer clear of that area myself as the trails are very narrow and windy which makes it hard for the wife and kids, and I also think it's fairly avalanche prone. We ride mostly Lake Creek, Snake Creek and Wolf Creek trailheads, but do venture off to other places like Mirror Lake Highway, Monte Cristo, Bear Lake (Logan Canyon), etc. I've never made it to Fairview, but I think we may have to try it this year.

Thanks for the info guys. It's really nice to find people that are so helpful. Makes this sport we love just that much better! I think I will check out soapstone tomorrow. I will let ya know how it is :-)

Just got back!
For the most part, bumper deep to pushing snow over the hood! Snow is awful dry and building up bad in the engine compartment. Knocked a few rocks, but all in all a good day. Came back a little early because of cold and enough ice build up that my skins skid broke loose. Time for some trimming!
