a great ride!

Ive tried them twice. The first time in about 1 1/2 to 2 ft of fresh and the stuff you see in the vid. Im sold and hope to get mine in a few weeks. I have not tried any big hills, but I think they will work great there as well. The handling is great, so much like an off road bike.In almost every way. I felt totally at home on the 525. I cant wait to get it to some local areas and see what it will really do. I sure dont think it will compete with the hawk in a hill climb. but man these are agile and light. I dont think there is any way a hawk will keep up in the woops or threw the trees. Of course lots of that is with the rider.

whoops

bring 1 of them things to my western ny whoops and ill race you through them on my 503f.i too ride and race dirt bikes but i cant imagine it would come even close to the hawk in the rough. i can keep my hawk pinned across 2-3 foot whoops all day long without blinking an eye... until the belt breaks! id love to ride one of them to see. maybe ill get one next year so i have both. that vid was awesome.definitly better in the tight woods.....

Maybe

I cant see it though, far less weight and better suspension. the power delivery and speed is similar to on dirt. I cant wait to ride with some hawks. . all in the name of fun.
If only my pocket book and garage where big enough to have them all..

looked like great times

those mtobikes look like good exploring machines, this video inspired me to get some new hawk footage up, me and afew buddies got a film ride planned saturday helmet cams for sure, hope to go big

There is no way they can go as good as a hawk in the whoops, maybe in tight trees but not the whoops.. Last weekend I was on a heavily used VAST trail in VT that had not been groomed for a week. The whoops were more than 2 ft which went for miles the hawk just pounds through them. I was smoking all my friends with there fancy new skidoo revx's. I cant even imagine going as fast on my KTM450 if these whoops were sand in the summer. As for the suspension, why do you think the Hawk has less suspension.. 15 inches in the rear with a proper attack angle on the track.

There is no doubt the conversion is fun and I don't want to bash the 2moto but we need to stop comparing the two. The Hawk is a snowmobile the conversions are just that a conversion. I don't see any two skiers saying a converted 4 wheeler is as good as there sled because they just aren't. Maybe I will go out on some Personal water craft forums and show them a hawk water skipping and claim they are just as good. :)

I would love to see 2moto lobby local snowmobile clubs to get them trail legal, without that I will ever own one.

Looks like the east coasters have a lot more experience with monster whoops.

We have tons of snow left and more on the way Buffalo Hawk, you should come up here and ride with me.

love to ride but...

id love to go ridin but at my last section of whoops i blew the cog belt....im waiting for a package to arrive that will include all the pulleys and the tls from a 600 so i can run the fat belt and have the tls to back me up so the belts dont break. not to mention diesel is 4.40 a gallon so im not in a huge hurry to do any long distance traveling....ill be ready for next year though!

I certainly do not want to divide these machines, I think both are great in there own right. Time will tell what works better for what conditions. I love the 1 ski idea. I think most of it depends upon the rider, just like a dirt bike.
Im planning on making the entire snowmobile show circuit next year and would love to meet up and ride with anyone with a 1 ski. Hopefully theres snow during those times.

Are you planning on coming to the North East?

I gotta admit that I like the lighter and maybe more manuverable conversion. 2moto has come to town to stay and I'll get to ride one soon enough. One of my local KTM/mtnsled riders has equipped his 450exc with it and is very impressed. Another one of the local riders is looking at a used 'Hawk for the same money, since he'd have to give up riding his "dirtbike" for the winter if he converts it to a skimoto. There is a time and place for both machines depending a a fellows circumstances and riding preferances.
