basically what we do currently with auto insurance, shop around for the coverage you want and purchase it.


now to muddy up the water some;

What about those who do not have insurance that find themselves in the ER? I see a problem with yound doods not buying insurance cause they gonna live forever anyways, right?

Do we turn them away?


My solution is rather easy, patch em up, verify citizenship. If they are illegal give em a ride to their home country.

The money saved would subsidize basic emergency care for uninsured.

There are a number of things that could be done that would lower the cost of insurance quite a bit.

1. Allow cross state line insurance. That is to say allow people to shop for insurance where ever they want. Also, allow people and companies to unite into bigger groups for better rates.

2. Allow pharmacies to buy out of state or even out of country. Why not import drugs from Canada? They are the exact same drugs, they just cost 1/4 of what they do in the states.

3. If people don't want to buy insurance of any kind, the "I'm young and industructable" types, they would still get emergency care but would be responcible for paying the costs of that care after discharge.

4. Illigals don't get any health care except emergency care and are then deported.

5. TORT REFORM. We have GOT to get lawyers out of the equation. Doctors do all kinds of expensive and unnecesary test just to cover the buts from lawsuits.

ALL of the above listed items wouldn't cost you or me a DIME and would save us a chingo of cash.

So until the politicians get serious and do the above, it's all just window dressing and power grabbing.
