A few questions on the M10 rear suspension.

I just bought an 07 Apex SE w/ an Alpine Front mount turbo. Has all the Goodies including a CR tunnel and M10 rear suspension. I tried to do a few searches and didnt come up with much on the skid. I heard it takes all the weight tranfer out of the sled and eliminates alot of fun factor when doing anything other than climbing, I'm hoping this isnt the case?

1. Is it good for anything other than climbing?
2. Is their a website for the makers of this skid?

Thanks!!:beer;

Sweet dude.Congrats on the purchase.Darko or Chad at CR can set you up for the M10,there is a guy in the interior that also has a good setup for the skid,someone should have the name and contact info for him...i don't because i ride a Doo,until i get a Nytro.Would the sled you bought happen to be my old sled?

give trevor a call at macs machine i sicamouse,b.c. i ride m10 on my turbo,you pretty much nailed it,sleds are wheely monsters without m10 when climbing.also check the rails under the rubber stops, they like to crack at the mounting holes.i installed supports on inside of rails,love the suspension though,sounds like a nice ride!!

:beer;I bought Darko's snow camo Apex.......M-10 is the chit!!!!!!! Like riding a Cadillac down the trail. I couldn't bottom it out. And yes its a climbing skid but it works flawlessly.......never feared having the sled coming back over on me no matter how steep the climb was.

Like said above.......call Chad at CR Racing or Darko......they know their chit:beer;

Ahhh yup I did end up getting your sled after all! George ended up swapping out the skid and track w/ a new M10 and 2.5 Extreme. I'm not sure how its setup I wont be picking it up till this weekend. I believe Linc did the install?:beer;

Hey Dave you got any idea if that M10 is around the same weight as that skid you had in there?

The KMOD was about 15 pounds lighter than the stock suspension,the M10 is heavier but it works!I rode it at the BigDawg and i couldnt believe how fast it is and how well it hooked up with the M10.Linc set it up good,so only minor changes for a boondockin setup.

I think he was only running 12 pounds of boost too? Awesome that its been almost dialed in then!!:D

whats the diffrence from a cr 10 to an m 10 ? other than lighter and the cr 10 come in up to 174 ?

about 3-4000 bucks difference. Lighter and shinier;) Until a guy rides these skids for himself, I dont' see how they aren't that great for boondocking and just riding with. I loved my skid for every application that I used it in. hard pack, marginal snow, trail riding, deep snow, and especially climbing. buy a jack for the skid, and with a quick adjustment, you have transfer to no transfer. there are many options out there for hillclimbing skids, and I think they are all great, but the only real answer to flat out climbing is an m-10. they work PERIOD!!

What he said, they are the chit, plain and simple :D

So do both the CR 10 and the M-10 work equally well at keeping the skis down in a hard climb?

If so what are the differences that would cause such a price increase?

Thank you for you help here, I have recently heard that if you want to keep the skis down in real steep terain the m-10 is the way to go but I do not know if they meant CR-10 or M-10.

I do know this person was looking for the 174" track so I guess that limits you to the CR-10; is that correct?

The CR10 is just a M10 with lightweight parts and CR bling. You should be able to have chad make up some rails for a M10 if you want to extend it to 174".

light weight/custom rails is where the extra cost comes in for Cr racings m-10...Has anyone had iceage make a set of m-10 custom rails? I am sure they could make the 174 rails.....lighter or cheaper who knows....the one thing with cr racing parts...not going to find anything of higher quality.....you get what you pay for......

to be specific you get full cnc billet cr rails very nice & the real diff is wit relocates one of the arms to help the track tensioning probs of the old stock skid,the w-2 was fasts fix.plus you get a revalved front float shock & fox zero pro with custom spring & valving in the rear & around 48lbs plus the cr support to get it set up right thats the whole key to make the m-10 work.for the guys in the us fastraxx builds a very similer skid they use each others parts.:beer;:beer;

I installed an original factory 136 M-10 in my short track Vector last week and used the FAST installation kit. During my test ride I could both hear and feel my track rub when bottoming out through the whoops. I then noticed the track was rubbing on the cast section of the rear of the tunnel. The FAST kit had me reuse the stock, rear mounting plates so I'm thinking they do not drop the skid far enough out of the tunnel. Any other ideas why it is rubbing? What would you do to correct it?

Anyone know if arctic cat m- series rear wheels will bolt on to the m-10 159 from fast????
thanks
