A/F gauge power on 2008 M1000?

Where is the best place to pull power for the A/F gauge on a 2008 M1000? I have my fuel pump and oil pump running off the acc. plug. My Attitude box is plugged into the stock fuel pump wire. I have heard the stock fuel pump wiring, the reverse beeper wiring, and SLP recommends the red w/black wire on the regulator. Does one work better than the others? Is one easier to splice into? What is the best way to splice in? Thanks.

I use same wire as attitude box for A/F, that way if there is an issue with power you will see guage not working and stop to check, attitude box is less noticeable, to me anyway.

Is there a wire in the hood harness I can use? I have my A/F mounted on my hood and the AEM wiring harness is only about as long as the stock hood harness. I can splice more wire onto it if there isn't a good wire in the hood harness, but I hate to have a splice if I don't have to.

Edit: With a search I found a thread that said to use the red/blue wire in the hood harness for power for an EGT. Will that wire handle the draw of an A/F gauge?
