A couple questions....

...regarding the RG BD M8 Turbo.

Anybody know what size the nuts are on the auxillary fuel pump and can I get them at a regular hardware store?

I only have one spring plate for the pipe. The guy I bought the turbo from said that's how people have been doing it. How are you guys connecting the springs with only one spring plate? Any pics?

The 4 AN push lock fitting on the top of the turbo for the oil pump is missing. Any ideas where I can get one of those? What should I ask for when shopping for one?

The boondocker installation instructions call for filling the oil can up with 32 oz. of turbo oil. There is some oil in the can from the previous owner. How do I know if I need to add more and how important is it that there is exactly 32 oz? How often does this need to be refilled?

How do you set your boost settings with this turbo? I see you can adjust the PSI in the boondocker box at LO, MI, and HI. Do these all want to be the same? What does the boost controller mounted by the coolant bottle do?

Any other tips on getting this thing ready to rock and roll would be great!!

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike, I'm not sure on a lot of your questions. But I can tell you the boost controller is where you control the boost. then in the stats menu on the BD box it will show your current boost and maximum boost. I think the setting you are talking about is how much fuel is added when you are on the boost at those RPMs...

Mine has 2 spring plates. One on Y and one on Pipe but maybe you can do it with 1 using stock hooks or something. Not real sure.

I thought the old style oil tank held more then the new one does but I am not 100%. Definitely just get rid of whatever oil is in the tank and either run your legend or order some oil from boondockers. They design their oil to be able to handle the heat in the turbo and not break down but also to burn clean if any of it goes through the motor.

for the oil stick your pinkyfinger in resevoir. Oil should just cover your fingernail
go to boondocker website for starting numbers. Should get you started but might not be perfect. The psi numbers are fuel mapping under boost. Not a controller
