A bit frustrated over a purchase from the snowshow AKA..Looking for 96 wildcat

Anyone know of one ready to be parted or possibly even whole? i bought a zr project mod sled from a guy at the Denver show and the 700EFI motor with 0 miles that was supposed to be all good and set to go has a crapped out EFI box that I cant seem to locate anywhere. So I now have a solid running 350 sled. No injector on the right side.

Needing part number 3004-656 or 3004-925 red dot box or maybe another motor at this point.


Spent a ton of time and a bit of extra cash retrofitting this sled together its a 98zr600 chassis with upgraded suspension, a tunnel extension, risers, ceramic pipes,etc. Took a ton of fab work and agitation to get this thing together after finding out it was missing more than was stated.

Kinda burned since I trusted this guy but buyer beware.

do a google search for used snowmobile parts. There is a crapload back east that should have what you need.

try ebay. i just found a 800 ecu for $200. there are a few more places to look too. when i remember where they were i will let you know.

Try Sunnyside sales and service in Chippewa Falls, WI. They've had every Cat part I've ever needed. They're a salvage yard.

I found one today after calling about 90 salvage yards. I was able to locate one.

I am sure the person i bought it from is on this site. He runs with some well knowns. He may have not known the issue but there were definintely more issues than listed. Its my fault for being somewhat uninformed and that I trusted. I should have looked harder at it but I trusted him being he is a fellow rider and from the area.

This was a retrofit so I can see some mistakes. But the pipes that were for this sled didnt fit under the hood so I had to mod that, the throttle cable was too short so I had to play lets search to find that piece and one that would work. Then the ignition set up that was supposed to match wasnt the right one, then the freakin box didnt work. In the end itll be a cool older mod sled but it really wasnt worth the agitation. Should have just stuck with the 900 Mountain cat mod I now have .
