i just broke both my lower a-arms on my 08 D7 and now i am looking at the kolz kit with the uppers and lowers just wondering who is running them and how you like them/ how they hold up compared to the stock ones
thanks
Matt

How did you break both lower A arms???

Holz makes great parts, never heard anyone saying they disliked their A arms.

I went through a couple of sets of stock A-arms early last year and put a set of Holz on. They have been great. Put them through quite a bit of abuse and they have taken it well. I would recommend them.

I have them on my D8 and they are great. Have held up well. Lighter than stock but they are a tad longer. I didn't really notice the difference, but the IQ rolls easy so no worries with side hilling or handling.

I have been through quite a few stock lowers on my last 2 sleds and finally decided to put the Holz on. I have 2 bent lower Holz right now and I swear I haven't put them through too much! Don't get me wrong, I just bought another 2 Holz lowers yesterday, but I would have thought they would hold up just a little better than that! I must be a little harder on stuff than I think, but I'm no big time jumper dude! I did wonder if the the 08 style stock swaybar might have something to do with it since they always really bend right behind that mount. I'm converting to the newer style swaybar, which my dealer says will improve sidehill handling/ boondocking quite a bit. We shall see!! :brick::plane::usa2:

Those little icons are fun.

i am going to try it without the swaybar

08 to 09 updated swaybar retrofit update. It SUCKED!! Had to do a lot of front fender trimming up under and I just didn't want to take the upper belly pan cover off the top since I have a Skinz bumper and the hinge stop cables are attached vicariously to it. Mostly trimmed with a razor knife. It should really only be done if you plan to update to the newer narrower fenders also. I really only went in for the lower 08 style arms, but when they didn't have them they "sold" me on the new kit. Sooo about $600 later (and 3 trips to the store) and a lot of cursing I'm done. Hope this crap was worth the extra effort and cash!!

Oh ya and you can't just re-use your 08 Holz uppers and tie rods. All of it has changed. Even the bushings are different from the 08 to 09 Holz. Wierd.

I have an 09 and have bent lower arms. I have my swaybar removed and replaced last one with 08 style. The 08 lower arms are about $50.00 cheaper I think thay are stronger. The swaybar mount on a 08 arm is larger than the 09. The two 09 arms that I bent bent in the same place right past the swaybar mount. Why is the 09 $50.00 more???:face-icon-small-dis
Just my 2 cents!

I think it would be wise to start saving for 2011 snow season now, and each year after that no matter what brand you use! Kinda sucks wouldn't you say:frusty::rant:

my wife has the HOLZ 41" A-Arms on here sled, and they have been great..but havent been put to the "test" IMO..

I have the ZBROZ 40" A-Arms on my 900 and i can attest that they are SUPER STRONG and have been put to the test several times and no issues...even T-Boning an M1000 at about 35mph and all it did was slightly dent the upper a-arm, and his right running board was smashed upwards big time..

so..to answer your question..yes the HOLZ are nice and strong...but IMHO..if you want somethinge STUPID STRONG...go with ZBROZ ;)
