A-arm Fastener Issue

Hey guys,

I had a little trouble today.. And the strange part is I'm not sure how it happened exactly.

If you look at the attached picture. Part number 2 Broke apart and the part number 19 bolt sheered off on one side.

I was riding home after a little ride by myself. Everything was frozen over so I couldn't really do anything too stupid, even if I wanted. I was riding home on the trail and something felt loose in the front end.. I looked it over and can't find any indication of impact, and this #2 part is very well protected by my skid plate.. So I'm kind of puzzled how this happened.

Anyone think its worth my time to bring it to the dealer and try to get it warrantied? If not, is there a better part I can replace it with?

Ski hit.
Don't bother trying for warranty.
They are cheap.

The a-arm pin is pretty specialized, never seen any aftermarket alternative, tho breaking one could be rare, and I've replaced my share of a-arms - haven't seen this before on the Axys or Pro forums, and they've been in use since MY2011. Perhaps the pin had a flaw, or a pinch point from some chassis casting, or I've just missed the failures. Look closely at your arms for damage/bend, too. Check the bushings for wear. 19 is just a thru bolt, but does pinch the two glued casting halves - check those, too. Don't overtighten the nylock nuts.
