9R 12 volt auxiliary power

I’m installing a USB plug in my glove box and it doesn’t power up idling.


I do measure 14 volts at the pins but my usb port doesn’t energize. The USB works fine tested on an external power supply.

Does the 9R or matryx still use the load shed relay that doesn’t energize the factory harness 12 volt accessory plug until it’s above a certain RPM like the Axys?


I have only gotten to test it idling and with a little throttle but have not ridden it yet.

I've got a mtn tek blow hole on my 9r that plugs into the accessory plug, and it comes on at idle.

I figured it out. My Amazon pigtails to connect to the factory 12 volt accessory connector swapped the polarity and I obviously didn’t notice the (-) 14 volts on my meter.

Confirmed No load shedding relay. Live at idle.
